Slash Friction: an opinion piece by a slash writer (Emily Veinglory--I don't know if this author's actually male or female). Raises good points; comes down, though, on the side of tolerance of slash even if it does involve appropriation.

Date: 2004-07-25 10:41 pm (UTC)...there's a song I love by Romanovsky and Phillips (a singer/songwriter male duo, and--so far as I know--still a couple) that's entitled, "What kind of self-respecting f---ot am I?" [prudish dashes are mine, not theirs]. Actually, I love most all of their songs--darned funny when they aren't moving or politically acute. (Actually, sometimes all three at once!)
