Rugelach, I do extol thee
Feb. 22nd, 2005 09:02 pmUpdate to last entry:
Ax fell. Am screwed.
I'll probably be able to take a demotion and still work for the library system...at least for the time being, until another wave of layoffs sweeps in. ::cue foreboding music::
On the bright side...I've found me a source for the food of the angels--lovely fresh meltinyourmouth RUGELACH! Among all the soulless Starbucks, there still exists a REAL eatery downtown... (Actually there are quite a few, but I'm exaggerating for effect. It's been a while since I've been so pleasantly surprised in the food world.)

Date: 2005-02-26 03:28 pm (UTC)As for the demotion - I'm so sorry. I know how bitter lack of money and all the effects can be. Only money? Right. Only a place to live, good food to eat, health, the education of your children, and possiblities to spend your free time without the constant nagging question of "can I afford this".
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you to keep on working for the library. I know little about what kind of work that entails, but the idea of working around a lot of books holds a charm for me.
